‘Hogwarts Will Always Be There to Welcome You Home’

I remember watching that speech six years ago and crying my eyes out. I’ve just watched it again to make sure I quoted it correctly and I’m sitting here crying again.

I’ve recently found myself stuck in a reading slump. Every book I have picked up I have almost immediately put down, I have started many and finished none and I wondered whether I had finally lost what has been the love of my life for 23(ish) years.

Review: The Christmasaurus by Tom Fletcher

Tom Fletcher of Pooping Dinosaur McFly fame has written a children’s novel  and it’s brilliant.

William Trundle is a boy who loves dinosaurs and his dad is a man who loves Christmas. There is a lot at stake to make their wishes come true this year; can Santa pull it off?

A young boy’s Christmas wish, crumpets, Father Christmas and a giant dinosaur. What more could you want from a Christmas story? Excellent illustrations, I hear you cry; thanks to Shane Devries it has those too. My goodness, they are beautiful.
